Goals of studying |
Mastering new spaces compared to the elementary geometry: multidimensional Euclidean and affine; studying first and second order figures in these spaces. Mastering the main method of research in the analytical geometry – the coordinate method. Acquiring a sufficient volume of knowledge, skills and abilities by students in the field of analytical geometry to use them for studying other mathematical disciplines. |
7 |
Prerequisites |
Mathematical Analysis, Algebra and Theory of Numbers, Introduction to Mathematics |
8 |
Contents |
Concepts of the n-dimensional affine and Euclidean spaces, k-dimensional planes in these spaces, methods of defining and relationship. Second order figures in affine and Euclidean spaces, their affine and Euclidean classification. Affine transformations and motions, affine and Euclidean geometry. |
