Objectives of studying the discipline

The purpose of the discipline is to introduce the students to the fundamental concepts and general principles of operating system organization, including studying such aspects as organization of file systems, process management, interprocess communication, building of network services. As a result of studying the discipline, students should be able to:
  – organize the interaction of processes and flows;
– use the OS functions to manage the means of interprocess communication;
– manage the OS through the command line.
