Objectives of the study disciplines |
The aim of the discipline is to teach students the common data models, which are used in modern DBMS, the basics of relational databases, the common constructions of the data definition languages (DDL) and data manipulation languages (DML). As a result of study, the students should be able to: – determine normal relation forms, to decompose the relations to bring it to the normal form of Boyce-Codd and the fourth normal form; – use the data manipulation language SQL. |

An introduction to databases. DBMS Access. Basic concepts of relational algebra. Database design. Database automation tools. Structured query language (SQL). MS SQL Server. New directions in DBMS. |
