Objectives of studying the discipline

Forming students a holistic view of modern information technologies; development of skills for the qualified use of the means and capabilities of computers in solving specific research and application problems, as well as when editing scientific and technical textual information.

   As a result of the study, the student should be able to:

– presentation of information in a computer;

– Operating systems with a graphical interface, the basics of using the OS Microsoft Windows;

– computer graphics systems and graphic files;

– Microsoft Word word processor;

– Microsoft Excel spreadsheet;

– Preparation of presentations in the program Microsoft PowerPoint;

– Fundamentals of working with the computer mathematics system MathCAD (symbolic operations, solving nonlinear and transcendental equations, constructing two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphs in MathCAD);

Information. Number systems. Theoretical bases of processing of the digital information by electronics. The history of the computer. Software. Operating system Windows. The MS Office application suite. Fundamentals of work in Mathcad.
