Course goal

– construction of mathematical models, determination of their role and significance;

– familiarity with the basic principles of developing computational methods for typical and new mathematical models;

– study and development of the theory and applications of computing methods, their computer implementations;

– analysis of the reliability of numerical results, their interpretation and implementation.

– algebra and number theory;

– Geometry, mathematical analysis;

– modern systems of computer modeling

Course Topics

Approximate calculation of integrals. Simple and compound interpolation quadrature formulas. Formulas of rectangles, trapezium, Simpson, Gauss. Optimization of the distribution of nodes of the quadrature formula. Rule Runge practical error evaluation. Calculation of integrals of functions of a special form. The concept of methods for calculating multiple integrals and the Monte Carlo method.
